Wish You Were Here - Gill Knight Solo Show

‘Wish You Were Here’ - a cliche and a personal sentiment. It’s a phrase that holds both warmth and sadness. 

With some very first memories of growing up by the sea, Gill always finds connection in all things coastal- an old postcard collection found in her attic last summer sparked the idea for this show. 
Over the last year a kaleidoscope of memories flowed out- real and imagined with themes of communication, solitude and togetherness all in oil, mixed media and collage. 
Gill invites the viewer to enjoy and hopefully connect with this new diverse collection of work while thinking about the people that linger in their hearts whether present or absent but not forgotten…


Gill Knight's wonderful new collection is now on display in our Edinburgh gallery.
