An unbearable ringing in my ears that grows in intensity. Ideas entangled like roots of a tree that grab at my ankles. It's not a love affair, but an alliance. Breaking the cyclical nature and moving away from my usual with a picture in my locket, I recalibrate. The ringing stops and suddenly I am awake. Walking into lucid clarity.
A frame work built from years of knowing my materials has inspired a body of work that rests on intuition. Earned over time, hours exchanged for understanding of colour to a molecular level, I have let pigment take the lead. Fleshed out by a deep love for oil paints, for a richness of palette that envelopes me. Somewhere otherworldly to drift in and out of.
So deeply intertwined, my ideas run linear through each paradigm shift. Actions on one piece, find themselves blossoming onto another. An essence unfurling through my fingers with enigmatic emerging, pulls and pushes. The phenomena of connection. This is quantum entanglement.
